One thing I learned in life is no matter what life throws at you, you gotta be ready to deal with it and realize it won't last forever. My life for the past two weeks have been calm and I like it. I like feeling normal despite my occupation. ....I met Bon JOvi holy shit...I'm still stoked from that since I'm an east side boy. That and I love my work did I mention that? Cause I do. I love interview the most amazing bands in music, playing their music and in turn getting a shot out from them in their concerts!
My life has been quiet though I can't say the same for someone very dear to me. I'm proud of her and she knows it for making it as far as she did. Rock on Alice :D
Other than that I have to decide something, I was invited to a wedding and while part of me loves weddings seeing the particular people getting married is a bad idea. I don't know the guy and you wanna talk about awkward there? I'm not cool with it and I actually thinks she's insane for doing this shit so fast. I don't care what people say, marriage is a final answer its not something you can just do for fun and then back out later. Marriage is a serious thing and from what I've seen neither party is ready to do that. Sorry hate me if you want, but its just from what I noticed already.
Other than that I gotta say going to the Radio party sunday rocked ass! Alice had a kick hanging out on stage with me and cheered me on. Its a nice way to start the week and things are cool on my side ovah here.

Music right? What the hell does a dude like me know about your music that you love? Everything. Damn right I said it. Born and bred in Boston, Massachusetts I grew up with great parents. Hard working doctors that wouldn't see their only little boy with nothing else but being great. Too bad I didn't live up to their ideologies. I did everything I could to do what I wanted to do, not what they wanted me to be. I love them, god I do but let's be real here for once. I need to be my own person. I am an extention of them I'm not them. But they don't see it that way.
Mark and Sarai O'Connell: God bless my parents, I would drop anything to see them happy but when it comes to my own career and life I had to take the reins for once. I remember the day I broke the news that I was leaving college to go into music. I thought my mom was gonna spazz out but she had this look on her face...dunno if it was the "YOU BITCH I'M GONNA KILL YOUR WHITE ASS FOR MAKING ME SPEND ALL THIS MONEY ON YOUR CRAZY ASS IN SCHOOL!" look or just numbed. Whatever the case my dad supported me and told me to follow my heart. And with that, it was enough for me to try out my field in journalism in college then elevate that to being a DJ in Jersey which later sent me upstate and finally just recently tranferred to the home of r&b heartland here in Chicago. I love music, so it shouldn't shock you that I needed extra dough to pay off the damn bill I was hefting from getting wood blocks and drum sticks every chance I got for my drum set. So in comes the idea to tutor kids or teaching them how to drum. Drum instructor yes, teacher of the year no. But hey the kids learn...some better than others. I along with my boy Noah created a band, we call ourselves "Cosmic Stance" I had a long night when that name was created, don't ask just work with me here. We must have been really wasted or completey brilliant with that cause that blew us up. Our first single has doing good and its been playing on radio rotation five times a day! Hey its something right? People like what they hear.
So I'm still new to Chicago and I need to learn the way around but I'm loving what I see. And hi ladies my name is Kenli you are always welcome to stop by and greet me. I'm a decent man and my morals are good so don't worry about a hit and run. I don't do that, boys play that game.
Anything else you wanna know ask away, till then I gotta go. I got a cat that needs attention, Gaspacho, named after the legendary drummer. Till later this is K and I'm out of here.
